StackWorks now with CyberSeal seal of approval

We now bear the CyberSeal seal of approval from the Alliance for Digital Security Switzerland. This confirms that we, as an IT service provider, implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to offer small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular adequate protection against cyber risks.

Since IT service providers gain access to essential systems in the course of their work, controlling them is a security criterion for companies that should not be neglected. The National Cyber Security Centre of the Swiss Confederation recommends, for example: "Make sure that the responsibilities between you and the IT service provider regarding IT security are clearly regulated. This concerns in particular the technical and organisational measures." But such an audit is not always easy to implement for companies. It means a great deal of effort - especially in view of the intention that the companies concerned actually want to outsource essential aspects of a secure set-up as well as operation of the IT.

Therefore, it was and is a matter of the heart for us to support our customers in this important step. We want to show that they receive secure solutions from us and that we work according to proven standards during planning, installation and maintenance. As this is exactly what is audited by an independent third party expert body before receiving the CyberSeal seal, we decided to apply for the required audit.

CyberSeal audit successfully passed

In an in-depth audit at our office in St. Gallen, the auditor recently examined all control points and processes according to the CyberSeal Audit Manual of the Alliance Digital Security Switzerland. These are specifications in three important areas:

  • Organisation
This includes the nature of documentation, division of tasks and training.
  • Technology
This item includes measures for the protection of data as well as for authorisations.
  • Processes
Various processes, including those for change and incident management and monitoring, are defined here.

In total, the design of 26 different topics was reviewed, each in one to seven sub-items. These primarily take into account security aspects that are central to SMEs, as they are frequently exploited by potential attackers.

Helpful orientation for companies

We are proud that our processes have withstood the audit and that we have successfully mastered it. The seal awarded is valid for three years, with a quality control maintenance audit taking place in each of the next two years.

Thus, companies that use or want to use our products or services receive a helpful orientation. With just one glance, they see confirmation that they are making the right decision. At the same time, they gain more capacity for their core tasks. How may we support you?
