In most cases, yes. Starting in January 2025, Gemini will be included in the Business and Enterprise editions of Google Workspace. Business Starter includes a subset of the features; starting with Business Standard, Gemini is available in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet, and Chat, as well as a standalone Gemini app. For schools, the full range of AI features is available separately as Google AI Pro for Education.
Separate Gemini licenses are no longer required for the Business and Enterprise editions; Gemini is included in the price of the edition. Additional costs apply only for add-ons such as AI Expanded Access, which offers higher usage limits, or for Gemini Enterprise. During our initial consultation, we’ll review your licenses and show you what you can already use.
No. Google does not use customer data from Google Workspace to train AI models without your prior consent. Your content is not used for other customers and is not shared outside your organization without your permission. The existing access permissions in Google Workspace also apply to Gemini.
Gemini for Google Workspace supports your employees directly in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Chat. Gemini Enterprise is a dedicated Google Cloud platform for AI agents that connect information from multiple systems and automate workflows. Many companies start with Gemini in Google Workspace and expand later.
Gems are custom Gemini assistants with predefined instructions and built-in knowledge, such as for quotes, job postings, or responses to customer inquiries. We’ll set up the first Gems together with your teams and show you how to share them within your company.
