The pupils of the primary and secondary schools in Zollikofen have been learning with the latest technology since the school year 2021/22. This is ensured by Chromebooks or Chrome tablets and Google Workspace for Education. As a Google for Education partner, StackWorks provided expert support to the school during the installation - a success story.
Already after the first registration of the devices in the system, the school had hardly any support effort, as Christian Rickli, specialist for media and IT at the Zollikofen secondary school, reported. The initial scepticism of some teachers quickly evaporated. Since the Chromebooks are intuitive to use and highly compatible, the changeover was made within a very short time, so that the devices are now used daily in all subjects. In foreign language classes, for example, they are used for multimedia work with teaching materials. In other subjects, students use the Chromebooks to research and work together on documents and files. Above all, the teachers see the Google Classroom learning management system as a great benefit.
The requirement of the municipality of Zollikofen as the decision-maker to set up a data protection-compliant, uniform and flexible solution with an optimal price-performance ratio was fulfilled 100 per cent. "True to our mission, we were thus once again able to put state-of-the-art technology into a meaningful context," says Ishan Don, founder and CEO of StackWorks. He adds: "This fills us with pride."
